Town Proposes New Development Ordinance

The Town of Youngsville is experiencing growth pressure resulting from expansion of the Triangle Urban Area. In preparation for the effects of growth, the Mayor and Board of Commissioners have directed the preparation of both a new town plan and a new development ordinance to replace the existing zoning and subdivision ordinances. The Town Plan 2040 was completed and approved March 14, 2019, to guide development in an orderly and desirable direction. Now it is time to establish new standards and specifications for such development.

The Mayor and Board of Commissioners invite you to review the town's draft of its new development standards and specifications and share your comments. The new Youngsville Development Ordinance (YDO) draft is available for inspection at the link below (paper copies may be inspected at town hall during normal business hours).
