ABC SYSTEM GENERAL MANAGER
  • Compensation range: $50,336.00 - $60,000.00 Annually

  • General Statement of Job: An employee in this class serves as the chief executive officer of the Youngsville ABC System (the “System”) and is responsible for all aspects of the System. Under general administrative direction, and with the advice and consent / approval of the Board, the General Manager will perform professional and administrative work in planning, coordinating, and directing the lawful ordering, storage, and distribution of alcoholic beverages; site selection, lease/purchase negotiations, construction, and maintenance of ABC stores and facilities; financial activities; personnel matters; and the management of the System.
  • Minimum Training and Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field is required (Master’s Degree preferred). At least 10 years of retail management experience is required (at least 5 years of North Carolina ABC system management experience preferred).

ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST (POLICE DEPARTMENT)

  • General Statement of JobThe Administrative Specialist provides complex clerical and administrative support to the Youngsville Police Department; develops and maintains effective and efficient administrative processes for the department, department personnel, and other Town staff; maintains law enforcement records; serves as a link between the chief of police and other law enforcement officers; and provides exceptional customer service to citizens and staff by providing information, answering questions, or directing them to the appropriate resources.
  • Minimum Training and ExperienceThis position requires a high school or GED diploma and a minimum of three years’ experience in general office work and two years' customer service experience required. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered. POLICE OFFICER

  • General Statement of Job: Youngsville Police Officers perform general law enforcement work in order to preserve public peace, protect lives, property and rights of the public, and enforce statutory law and municipal ordinances.

POLICE SERGEANT

  • General Statement of Job: A Youngsville Police Sergeant plans, organizes, and manages the overall command of law enforcement activities and critical incidents during each patrol shift in order to preserve public peace, protect lives, property and rights of the public, and enforce state laws and municipal ordinances.
  • Minimum Training and Experience: This position requires a High School Diploma/GED (Associate's Degree preferred) and 5 years of law enforcement experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. At least one year of supervisory experience is required, and three or more are preferred. An Intermediate Law Enforcement Certification and First Line Supervision training (or equivalent) are also required.

RECREATION AIDE
  • Compensation range: $8.00 - $10.00 per hour

  • General Statement of Job: Under direct supervision, this classification assists Parks and Recreation Department management in providing general assistance and support to assigned recreation program and activities; sets-up and issues equipment for recreational activities; assists in providing on-site supervision of recreation program and activity participants; and performs a variety of general and routine administrative tasks in support of recreation programs. THIS POSITION IS PART-TIME, TEMPORARY, SEASONAL, AND WITHOUT BENEFITS.
  • Minimum Training and Experience: Must be at least 16 years of age at time of application. Education at a level that provides the ability to read and understand instructions. A minimum of 50 hours of volunteer or paid experience in the recreation field is desirable. Ability to operate a telephone and copying machine; ability to understand and respond to the public and staff requests for assistance both via telephone and in-person; ability sit, stand, stoop or bend, and see; and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

RECREATION SUPERVISOR
  • Compensation range: $12.00 per hour

The ideal candidate must be available to work approximately 20 hours per week primarily Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday nights. Must possess the maturity required to supervise recreation aides’ work. Microsoft Office proficiency is required.
